
Sarah Stevenson
Sarah Stevenson is an artist working primarily in the medium of sculpture, although recent work could also be considered as Textile art.
About the Artist
She was born in England and raised in Canada. She received a BFA from the University of Victoria in 1984. After time spent in Toronto and Vancouver she settled in Montréal in 1988. Stevenson’s work has been shown in group exhibitions at galleries within Canada and abroad, including The Art Gallery of Ontario, The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, The Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Bologna. Recent solo exhibitions include the Esker Foundation in Calgary and the fonderie Darling in Montréal. Stevenson has been represented by Galerie René Blouin (now Blouin/Division) since the early 90’s and more recently began showing with Trépanier Baer in Calgary. Her work is included in several collections, among them the collections of the CIBC, La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Global Affairs Canada.
