Lucy Pawlak

Lucy Pawlak is a troublemaker whose body of work focuses on making room for improvisation and play within structure. She deploys a variety of mediums (screen-writing, workshops, games, performance, boxing, drawing) to design structures that address how and why we adhere to systems and what the possibilities of breaking with patterns might offer. She loves to collaborate with people to create “odd” spaces (eg:homemade gyms, film sets, drawing clubs) that aim to function as temporary, small, autonomous and ultimately flawed utopias. One day she hopes to cease talking about herself in the 3rd person
