About the Artist
Mathilda Munsch was born in Rome and grew up between Italy, the UK and France. Before arriving at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, she studied humanities and spent time travelling abroad. Her work focuses on notions of creation, life and death: at what instances does the big bang manifest in our lives, and on which scale? To welcome different perspectives of the world, she finds ways to orient or disorient our gaze.
Recent exhibitions include Le Jardin au 12 mains (2025) at Prép’art, Toulouse; and Beaux enfants, l’aventure est mort (2025) and Les oiseaux de stymphale (2024), both at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
